Bamboo plot features a wide array of fast growing perennial plant belonging to grass family. Some of the species are local to the dang region and extensively used as a means of livelihood by villages and communities living in and around south Gujarat. India is the second richest country in bamboo genetic resources. Out of the estimated 136 species and 22 genera in India, 19 are indigenous. Bamboo offers a unique cultural and economic significance in India. There are 21 species of Bamboos present at this plot.
